SOEUR & INDABURUKO BORDA

Sometimes sturdy, rough and imposing, sometimes fragile and delicate, the objects are useful or decorative, but without a shadow of a doubt, witnesses of our passage. At Soeur, our aim is to showcase a selection of handcrafted objects and the people who bring them to life.

In a limited edition, our first "Objects" collaboration with Julia & Tom, architects in the Pyrenees.

Three years ago, the duo moved to the Basque country to renovate an old borde, the building is called Indaburuko Borda, "The house at the end of the road". The decision to settle here led Julia & Tom to reconnect with the skills and lifestyles of the valley's inhabitants. Their encounters with local craftsmen gave rise to a number of projects, the first of which were the wrought-iron candlesticks, Floor, Corner and Wall.
